Windows 10 is now able to receive phone calls on a PC
Microsoft has announced the addition of phone support through the Your Phone app to the latest build of Win 10. So far, only a narrow circle of insiders can test it, but there is no doubt that the option will go into the basic functionality of the application. All that is needed for its operation is a smartphone with Android 7 Nougat or higher, a PC with Bluetooth support and the assembly of Windows 10 18362.356.
The innovation is a natural extension of the integration of Android and Windows. In the summer, we saw the opportunity to receive text messages and various notifications on a PC, now the turn has come to calls. As indicated on the Microsoft blog, the following options will be available to users:
- A phone call from a PC using the contact list in the smartphone itself;
- Reject calls or redirect them to voicemail;
- View call history, the ability to quickly call back to the found numbers from a PC;
- Easy call switching between PC and smartphone.
